During church this last Sunday Emily told me that Makenna gave the opening prayer in primary. Towards the end of her prayer she said, "And we hope that President Hinckely comes back soon." We definitely love and miss our beloved Prophet, but know his joy must be full to have accomplished all he did while on this earth and to return to his sweetheart and loving Heavenly Father. He is definitely one of my greatest heroes.

Cause Why? Cause We Love Cousins!

We got to have a fun sleepover with cousins! Krissy and Ray just bought a home and are doing renovations before moving in. Since Ray has Mondays off from work - I thought we could have a cousin sleepover so he and Krissy could take full advantage of Monday to work on their house. We had so much fun from building forts in the living room to riding bikes to a picnic in the park and even finding a dead lizard! Unfortunately I haven't been able to find my camera for almost a week - until this afternoon when I said a heartfelt prayer and minutes later found it in our bedroom armoir - I NEVER put it there, alright I guess I did, but I have no idea why! You don't know how grateful I am to have found it, for prayer, and to not have to spend the $ to buy another one right now! YAY! Anyways, it was a fun time and the kids got to end the evening at Krissy and Ray's new home (very much under construction) and had a blast in their amazing backyard! Makenna even said, "This is my dream house! I wanna have a lot of sleepovers here!" I'm just sad I didn't whip out the camera for the work party taking place tonight - Grandpa hauling in wood flooring and ripping out old brick, Grandma sanding kitchen cabinets, Eric doing more brick demolition and wall construction, Peter in the attic and helping with how to do the wall construction, Ray doing uh let's just say a lot of everything, Krissy painting and keeping everything running smooth, kids running helter skelter! I can't wait to see the finished product, it's gonna be a great house - and wonderful home.

Remembering Warmer Days

Today I was looking through some pictures from last summer and they just make me happy. I had to put a few on the blog to hopefully remind you of your own special memories of warmer days!

Gymnastics

Porter and Charley have started gymnastics! Charley does a half hour Mom and tot class and Porter does a 45 min. preschool age class. Their teacher is great and by the end of class they are both pooped and ready for a snack. The nice thing is they are back to back - so we have one fun Wednesday morning! And to top it off Story Time at the library starts 15 min. after Port's class is done, it's a great way to start our day!

The Hope of Spring!

It's almost May and even though the weather doesn't feel like it, IT'S SPRING! In honor of this splendid season we are doing some spring cleaning and our blog was the first thing to get some attention. Instead of reconfiguring everything on Tumblweed Tales, I decided to start a whole new blog! So welcome to the 5 Hive - and here's a High 5 to you and Spring!
